Global K9 Italia is a Firm leader, in the international arena, in the training of dog handlers/instructors, in many different employment fields. Its training courses are prepared according to the most modern and advanced teaching standards, and are tailored to meet requirements from Public and Government  Institutions,  private citizens, in possession of skill and qualification  to be admitted to participation to specific courses (Dog Trainers, Security Operators, Special Security Guards). 

In addition, Global K9 ITALIA gives  different options for delivery of trainings  either at Customer Location, through its Mobile Training Teams, or at Global K9 ITALIA location.

Upon completion of each training course, GLOBAL K9 ITALIA  will stage  a final  evaluation session  for trainees and issue a Certificate  to candidates who have successfully passed the examination.

Courses for  Dog Operators:

•  Protection Dog (PD) - Specific to all professionals  operating in the field of Security (and not only) wishing to be assisted, during implementation of their duties,  by a  reliable  and well trained dog, that will enhance their deterrence and dissuasion performances;
• Narcotic Detection Dog (NDD) - Use of narcotics has become of common use in the western world. Dogs are very apt and useful to counter such criminal activity. The course will teach methodologies to search for, and discover narcotics;
•  Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) - After the terrorist attacks of 9/11 2001, the World is a much more dangerous place to live.  One of the most efficient tools to  counter the threat of terrorism   is the use of dogs trained in anti sabotage. The course is based on the training of dogs on the   techniques of search and screening, with or without the leash,  of suspect locations/spots. Training standards conform to NATO procedures. 
•  Mine Detection Dog (MDD) - At the end of every military confrontation, the combat area is littered with  various explosive remains of the war (ERW): unexploded ordnance (UXOs), anti tank and anti personnel mines, booby traps, etc.  Those remains claim the live and/or maim civilians for long years after end of the conflict., giving a blow to the moral of population and hampering the economic recovery  of affected Countries.  Employment of dogs trained in detection and discovery  of  ERW is a very safe and efficient tool to clear the ground and remove the threat. The course is tailored to train dogs to search minefields and suspect areas in an efficient and safe way, according to NATO and UN procedures;
• Dogs trained to look for missing/runaway person - The course is tailored  to meet requirements  of persons/organizations needing to  learn the most modern techniques to search for missing persons, with the assistance of specifically trained dogs. Issues like psychology of missing/runaway persons, orienteering, selection of equipment, etc, are part of the training.
•  Specialized courses can be organized to meet specific Customer requirements, such as:
  - Handler for dogs trained to counter illegal importation of animals or dangerous exotic  plants;
  - Arson dog, trained to assist in the investigation of fire of suspected fraudulent/intentional origin;

Courses for trainer/instructor of Dog Unit:

• Basic Instructor of Dog Unit (BIDU).  The course is tailored for all individuals wishing to work in the riveting  world of dogs, becoming Dog Unit Instructors, in possession of  GLOBAL K9 ITALIA diploma. The course will cover different fields, from puppy training to advanced teaching for  sport  or professional dogs;
• Instructor for Protection Dog (PD). The course is tailored for individuals who are already handlers of  PDs, or BIDUs and require to become Instructors,  in compliance with dog rights  and   current laws;  
•  Instructor for Narcotic Detection Dog (NDD). The course is tailored to NDD handlers or BIDU wishing to learn the coupling between narcotics and techniques to discover them;
•  Instructor for Mine Detection Dog (MDD). The course aims to train Instructors for MDD according to NATO and UN standards;
• Instructor for dogs trained to look for missing/runaway person.   The course is tailored for persons with previous experience as BIDU wishing to study in depth all training methodologies related to BIDU  and most advanced techiques  to look for missing/runaway  persons.

K9CQB Course. 

The course aims to train Dog Units to operate in  close cooperation with Special Forces and Hostage Rescue (HR) teams  during the conduct of risky operations, in urban areas and inside buildings.

Course for Team Leader Dog Unit.  

The course addresses to Staff responsible for a Dog Team, consisting of more than  3 Dog Units,   in its  different components PD, NDD, MDD, etc,  who will have to deal with training planning and implementation of operations. The course will also give all info needed to operate within the framework of national and international laws.

Course for  Manager of Dog Units, Kennel Master.

All inclusive formation course  tailored for the Staff responsible for the overall management of a Dog Team,  inclusive of Kennell, board/lodging and Company organization, administration, accounting, logistics, training and operational standards.
